Stacking firewood is just like putting money in the bank. I compare it to a high yield investment. As the firewood "matures" while drying out, its value increases in the same way as an investment matures.
If I bring in dry firewood that is ready to burn that is what I call my wallet because it can instantly be turned into cash. But if I bring in firewood that is wet or still a bit damp, I always says its money in the bank.
My "savings account" is my firewood rack. The firewood dries out and gains in value until it is ready to go.
