It has been raining for days so I ended up on a road trip that will push me a bit further down the path to self sufficiency. On a homestead you will often have to weld something. It just happens. Things break or you need something new fabricated.I had been going to a nearby welding shop but they are expensive. For small projects it is just not worth the cost. So projects were piling up on me. And now that welding shop is out of business so I had no choice.I got a small portable inverter/welder for the homestead. I spent some time in choosing one because the old wiring in our homes cannot handle a large welder. And this one runs on a generator.I got the Forney 100 Easy Welder. You can get one here: https://amzn.to/3CYmdZFThe reviews are good for this so I brought one home to try out at the homestead.I also got a mess of scrap metal that I can practice with. And a huge piece of square tube steel that I plan to build my electric car with. Thanks for watching. It has been raining for days so I ended up on a road trip that will push me a bit further down the path to self sufficiency. On a homestead you will often have to weld something. It just happens. Things break or you need something new fabricated.

I had been going to a nearby welding shop but they are expensive. For small projects it is just not worth the cost. So projects were piling up on me. And now that welding shop is out of business so I had no choice.

I got a small portable inverter/welder for the homestead. I spent some time in choosing one because the old wiring in our homes cannot handle a large welder. And this one runs on a generator.

I got the Forney 100 Easy Welder. You can get one here: https://amzn.to/3CYmdZF

The reviews are good for this so I brought one home to try out at the homestead.

I also got a mess of scrap metal that I can practice with. And a huge piece of square tube steel that I plan to build my electric car with.
