Today we are going to learn how to send and receive Ether or tokens with MyEtherWallet.

First you want to click on "Send Ether & Tokens" on the top menu bar of the homepage.

Next you will log into your wallet using your Json file or private key. Remember that the Json file is safer than the private key.

Now you will see the title "Send Ether & Tokens".

Under that you will see a form. The first line is the "to address". Here you will enter the Ethereum wallet address of the person you want to send money to. Make sure this is an Ethereum wallet address. If you send transactions on the blockchain to a wrong address, your money is lost forever.

The next field says "Amount To Send". Here you will enter the amount of coins that you want to send. Next to that is a drop down menu where you can select the coin type you want to send.

In my wallet I have Ethereum and DIY Tube Coins. When using the DIY Tube Video community you will be paid each month in DIY Tube Coins. You can save these for their investment potential, reinvest them back into DIY Tube or sell them for Ethereum. You can convert Ethereum into your local fiat currency easily.

After selecting the coin and amount to send the next field you see is the "gas limit". Leave this alone. This is the transaction fee for processing your transaction.

Every transaction on the Ethereum network will cost you a tiny bit of Ether. So make sure that you always have at least a little bit of Ethereum in your wallet to cover the costs of transactions. If you attempt to make a transaction and do not have any Ethereum in your wallet, the transaction cannot go through.

Now click "Generate Transaction".

Next you will have to confirm the transaction two times. This is for your security and to ensure you entered all the fields properly. When you are sure everything is correct, confirm the transaction.

And thats all there is to it.

Stay tuned for the next video on how to track transactions on the Ethereum network.
