We are starting some salad in a window using stackable pots. These pots have three sides to them and you can neatly stack them up higher and higher. I love them.

I put an empty pot in the middle as I filled them with soil to reduce the amount of soil needed. Plants will not grow in the center anyway so I figured there was no need for wasted soil there.

We already started some garlic in two of the rows. We had some garlic start to sprout in the kitchen so we planted it. Putting them on the bottom gives them room to grow up tall.

The upper two rows now have different types of lettuce, radishes and spinach. I plan to put on another two rows to give us alternating weeks worth of salad.

One week we can eat from one level and the next week from the other and then back down again.

These planters are perfect for a balcony or window where there is not much space.

I will get back to you once these start to sprout.
