I continue working on the electric fence all day. In the morning I had big plans for the day but in the end it was all about the fence.

This fence is meant to stop deer and coyote for now. Later I will add more wires in between the hot wires to prevent animals from jumping between the hot wires into our land. And I plan to run some chicken wire and more hot wires close to the ground to prevent even small animals.

The idea is to protect our chickens, garden and us. We want to limit ticks because our two year old daughter loves the outdoors. So we must stop all animals from entering our land.

And we want to extend our gardens and let our chickens free range sometimes in the yard. But predators can quickly grab them if we dont enclose the yard.

And, of course, the wires will slow down a two legged predator enough to let the alarms and cameras do their job.
