I started to repair my garage and insulate in order to turn it into an off grid wood shop. We are hauling fire wood home every morning these days.In the morning hours we go to a neighbor's home to cut some trees he gave us. We are getting about 20 - 30 trees for fire wood and lumber. It is hard to count because they are all on the ground already. He had them pushed over with a large tractor, saving us some work and the risk of hitting buildings. We get about a face cord in the truck each morning. Most of the trees are huge oaks so the job is slow due to all the branches and twigs we have to clean up. We are cleaning up behind ourselves as we work to make the place look good when we are finished. Each oak fills our truck with brush about 4 times. Melanie runs the truck as I run the chainsaw.Back at the homestead I am starting work on the garage. This will be my new off grid wood shop. I have to replace a 2x4 in the wall framing due to rot over the years. Thanks for watching.
