Description:
The whole family got involved in processing fire wood at The Off Grid Project yesterday. It was near 40 degrees F and was to be the last warm day for a while so we took advantage of it.I dug deep into the wood pile pulling out dry logs and branches to cut up with the chainsaw while the girls loaded hauled it out back for home heating. We worked a couple hours for about a face cord of dry wood. It was slow going because first we had to shovel pathways through the snow. Then I had to literally dig out the wood from the snow and break it from from the ice as I worked. This should last us a week or two. We are not yet out of fire wood but I want to stay on top of it so we dont run low.We heat our tiny house with fire wood to save money ever since we moved here. Thanks for watching.
