I made a very simple soap form using scrap lumber and some butcher paper. This cost me nothing at all to make.

While my batch of soap was cooking down I went out to my off grid wood shop to throw together a soap form.

I found some scraps of wood that were the perfect size for my homemade soap. I used another soap form to get the right dimensions.

The pieces I found did not need to be cut at all. I screwed the sides and ends together and then found a scrap of plywood which fit the bottom almost perfectly. The width was just right but I had to cut the end off shorter.

I took my new homemade soap form into the tiny house and covered it with butcher paper. The butcher paper has a sort of plastic on one side. This will keep the soap from sticking to the wood form.

I taped the paper on and then used zip ties to secure the bottom of my DIY soap form in place.

I now have a simple homemade soap form which literally cost me nothing to make. Everything was recycled and free, including the butcher paper.
