Getting my log splitter running to split some fire wood for the first time this year.

I have not used this machine since last fall before the snow fell. After that I could not even get to it anymore.

Finally the weather has turned and the snow and ice has melted away.

I had to add some oil and some new gas to the engine before trying it out. I also lubed up the chain and rail.

I had to laugh though when the machine stalled out and would not start again. I forgot that there is a cut off valve under the gas tank which was off. Its hard to see and if you dont remember it, you cant find it easily.

Once I got the gas flowing the machine ran well for about an hour but then it got some dirt in the carb and quit on me. I guess that is fine because I was tired out anyway.
